Duncanville Outreach Ministries is in the process of expanding their facilities to accommodate more food in order to sever the growing needs of our community. The cost of the project is approximately $41,000. Our club donated $10,000 to the Building Fund. Anita Davis gave us a very informative look at Duncanville Outreach Ministries and how many families in Duncanville they serve. We were given a tour of the facility. Here, Anita is showing some of the seasonal item which are stored. The tour gave us an opportunity to see what a family might receive in the way of groceries. In addition to groceries, Duncanville residents are also able to receive assistance with prescription, rent, utilities and cancer patients receive gasoline card to aid them get to their treatments. We also received a tour of the Duncanville Outreach Ministries Thrift Store. They sell gently used and previously owned household items, books, clothing, shoes and more which have been donated by the community. They also sell "new" items such as toiletries, hair accessories, baby and adult diapers, household cleaning and more.
